Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. is seeking an Avionics Maintenance Technician in Wheeling, IL to troubleshoot and repair avionics units and aircraft systems. This on-site role includes performing installation and removal of panels, and working with customers on project management and pricing.

Strong communication in English and basic computer skills are essential. Qualified candidates typically hold a high school diploma or equivalent; electronics/avionics training is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Electronics or avionics factory training preferred.
• Valid driver’s license for airline travel and/or passport ideal but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair avionics units down to component level (Navs, Coms, Pulse, Radar, Audio, Autopilot).
• Perform general avionics support on aircraft, including panel/component removal and installation.
• Coordinate with customers on project management, pricing and support; communicate in English.
