Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an Electronics Manufacturing Engineer to support New Glenn avionics production. You will act as the primary on-floor engineer, driving the transition from development hardware to production and working closely with ISC to ramp flight hardware.

You’ll diagnose test failures, implement DFx improvements, and keep documentation aligned with manufacturing realities. Ideal candidates have a BS in engineering, 3+ years in electronics manufacturing, and hands-on PCB assembly/test

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer, or Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years in electronics manufacturing, test, or design.
  • Hands-on fabrication, assembly, and test of PCBA/LRU.
  • Familiarity with Class 2/3 PCB fabrication and IPC standards (J-STD-001, IPC-A-610).
  • Strong problem solving and communication abilities.
  • Ability to read schematics and PCB layouts.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary engineering point of contact for the production floor.
  • Transition development hardware into production with ISC.
  • Troubleshoot and perform root-cause analysis on test failures and assembly issues.
  • Identify design/process improvements to boost manufacturability and yield.
  • Update work instructions, test procedures, and docs to reflect reality.
  • Support supplier quality and resolve issues with incoming material.
  • Maintain hardware configuration and traceability for audits.
