Job summary

Rocketlab is looking for a Mechanical Engineer II – Neutron Avionics in Long Beach, CA. This role focuses on the development and implementation of mechanical designs for the electronics powering the Neutron rocket. You'll work with cross-functional teams and have hands-on involvement with hardware from prototype to production.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and at least 2 years of relevant experience. A strong background in mechanical design, electronics packaging, and environmental survivability is required.

The position offers a competitive salary range of $100,000—$125,000, alongside various benefits including medical insurance and paid time off.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of professional experience in mechanical or electro-mechanical design and analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Develop mechanical components and electro-mechanical systems.
  • Support hardware testing including system-level performance validation.
  • Analyze electro-mechanical and structural assemblies.
