Inversion Space Company is seeking an Avionics Mechanical Engineer II to design, build, and test mechanical hardware packaging avionics systems for our Arc vehicles. You will work with cross-functional teams to turn electronics into flight-ready hardware.

The role emphasizes hands-on design, collaboration with electrical engineers, and ensuring manufacturability and test readiness in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Typically 3+ years of hands-on experience developing mechanical systems.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (NX, CATIA, SolidWorks, Creo) and drafting/BOMs.

Responsibilities

• Design avionics enclosures, mounting brackets, trays, panels, and sensor mounts.
• Assist packaging and installation of flight computers, power distribution, batteries, radios, and sensors.
• Produce drawings, CAD models, BOMs, and assembly instructions.
