Job summary

West Star Aviation in Perryville, MO is seeking an Avionics Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot and repair avionics units and aircraft systems at the component level, including Nav, Com, Pulse, Radar, and Autopilot systems, and perform general avionics support on aircraft.

You will inspect and evaluate aircraft and components, verify systems performance, and work with customers on project management, pricing and support while operating with FAA guidelines in a hangar environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required or preferred.
• Electronics or Avionics factory training is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair avionics units and aircraft systems to the component level (Nav, Com, Pulse, Radar, Audio, Autopilot).
• Perform general avionics support items on aircraft, including removal/installation of panels and components.
• Inspect and evaluate aircraft and components; verify systems performance.
• Coordinate with customers on project management, pricing and support; work independently on projects.
