Job summary

West Star Aviation is seeking an Avionics Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot and repair avionics units and aircraft systems in a hangar environment. The role supports various avionics and instrument systems and requires strong communication with customers and colleagues.

Qualifications

• A High school diploma or equivalent. Electronics or Avionics factory training is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Perform general avionics support items on aircraft.
• Troubleshooting and evaluation of systems on the aircraft when designated.
• Inspection and evaluation of the aircraft and components when designated.
• Aircraft movement and performance verification of systems.
• Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment and tooling to support operations.
• Work with customer in project management, pricing and customer support roles.
• Work independently on projects.
• Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
• Effectively and clearly communicate (i.e., speak, write, read) in English
• Basic computer skills to be able to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance data bases
