Job summary

Duncan Aviation in Minnesota is seeking an Install Specialist to install, troubleshoot and repair aircraft wiring and avionics while following Duncan procedures and FARs. This role may perform as a Qualified Inspector (QI) and requires safe, organized work in a structured team environment.

Responsibilities include routing wiring, preparing terminations, documenting work orders, and communicating with customers about technical functions.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent (required).
• 1 year avionics/electronics experience or education (required).
• 2 years avionics/electronics experience (required).
• 4 years avionics/electronics experience (required).
• 2 years avionics installations experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs wire marking, bundling, and pre-pinning systems to be installed.
• Routes wiring throughout aircraft and connects to relays, circuit breakers, connectors and switches per manuals and procedures.
• Disassembles/reassembles interiors and avionics bays and documents work on work orders.
• Performs wiring checks and basic system tests, repairs or replaces defective parts.
• Troubleshoots systems and reports problems to senior technician.
• Communicates with customers about technical functions of aircraft.
• Records work performed on the work order and follows procedures.
• Provides ongoing service and acts as a point of contact before/after scheduled hours.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
