Job summary

Relativity Space in Long Beach, NY is seeking an Avionics Systems Test Engineer II to design, develop, and maintain HITL testbeds for avionics subsystems powering the Terran R program.

You will collaborate with hardware and flight software teams to define test platform requirements, validate system behavior, and support vehicle software releases across integration and launch operations. This role blends hands-on engineering with rigorous verification in a fast-moving aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Electrical, Computer, Aerospace, or related field.
• 5+ years in complex system design, testing, and architecture.
• Experience with electronics test equipment and measurements.
• Knowledge of verification/validation test planning.

Responsibilities

• Design and build a HITL testbed for avionics subsystems.
• Collaborate with hardware and software engineers to derive platform requirements.
• Oversee integration of avionics hardware, simulation, and support equipment.
• Develop, document and execute avionics verification/validation plans.
• Drive data reviews for verification/validation testing on HITL platforms.
• Support vehicle software releases and Run-for-Record on HITL platforms.
