Job summary

Airhart in Long Beach, CA is building an integrated avionics platform to make flying simpler and safer. We’re looking for an Electrical Engineer who enjoys building hardware that actually works—not just designing it.

You’ll own one or more avionics PCBAs from prototype through production, bring up hardware, debug with scopes and analyzers, and work with firmware to validate systems. This role blends lab time with schematic capture and layout updates to improve manufacturability and reliability.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of professional electrical engineering experience developing electronics hardware.
  • Recent graduate with outstanding hands-on hardware experience through internships or major engineering projects.
  • Experience building real hardware, not just simulated it. Currently looking for practical, hands-on problem solvers.

Responsibilities

  • Own one or more avionics PCBAs from prototype through production.
  • Bring up new hardware and verify circuit operation.
  • Debug electrical issues using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, and other lab equipment.
  • Work with firmware engineers to validate new hardware and diagnose system-level issues.
  • Update schematics and layouts to improve reliability, manufacturability, cost, and performance.
  • Support prototype builds and work directly with manufacturing to resolve production issues.
  • Review test results and determine root causes of hardware failures.
  • Design and validate simple test setups for hardware verification.
  • As you grow, take ownership of clean-sheet designs for new avionics hardware.
