Job summary

Blue Origin in the Greater Seattle Area is seeking an Avionics Hardware Engineer III to lead development and delivery of avionics hardware for Lunar vehicles, including flight computers, I/O units, and embedded controllers.

You will own hardware elements across the lifecycle, drive technical decisions, coordinate with manufacturers, and mentor teams to ensure safe, reliable, and manufacturable spaceflight hardware.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer, Aerospace, or related field.
  • 6+ years in avionics/electronic hardware or high-reliability hardware.
  • Experience leading significant portions of hardware lifecycle (requirements to release).
  • Experience with digital/analog/mixed-signal hardware and PCB design.
  • Strong hands-on troubleshooting with test equipment and root-cause analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Own development and delivery of avionics hardware across lifecycle (requirements, interfaces, design, build, integration, verification, qualification, release, sustainment).
  • Drive decisions, interface definitions, trade studies, and architecture for integrated avionics hardware.
  • Plan and execute hardware integration, verification, qualification, and testing; troubleshoot anomalies.
  • Collaborate with manufacturers/suppliers for PCB assembly, box build, inspection, nonconformance resolution, and producibility.
  • Lead cross-functional resolution with electrical, mechanical, embedded software, FPGA, controls, systems, manufacturing, and mission assurance teams.
