Job summary

Garmin Ltd. in Salem, OR is seeking a full-time EMC Engineering Technician to create an integrated avionics system to simulate aircraft installation for EMC testing and to monitor and document system performance.

You will work under supervision, follow detailed instructions, support testing at external facilities, and contribute to plans and reports for small to large systems, including wiring diagrams and lab setup.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or military/certification path as listed in the posting.
• Ability to apply test processes and verify design and performance.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support EMC testing for avionics systems under supervision.
• Read schematics and layout drawings to identify issues.
• Create qualification plans, reports, and test setups.
• Coordinate testing with internal teams and external facilities as needed.
• Document findings and update test set up documents.
