Job summary

RTX Collins Aerospace Avionics Electronics Technician position in College Park, GA, tests, troubleshoots, repairs, and modifies advanced avionics equipment. You’ll work under strict workmanship standards on a 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 4:00 PM-12:30 AM) onsite, performing inspections and routine maintenance on electrical systems and components.

Qualifications

• Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience or 8 years without a HS diploma.
• Electronics maintenance industry experience or education required.
• Must have prior experience troubleshooting electronics equipment.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates precision test equipment for alignment, troubleshooting and testing of electrical equipment and systems.
• Has a basic understanding of advanced test equipment functions and reprogramming.
• Aligns and adjusts advanced electrical components to ensure proper functioning of circuits.
• Conducts functional tests to check operation and calibration of test stations, components and systems.
• Analyzes circuitry and checks wiring to locate malfunction sources during testing.
• Performs disassembly/assembly and installs modifications per service bulletins or documented procedures.
