Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in Federal Way, WA is seeking an electronics technician for a first shift role. Hours are 6:00 AM–2:30 PM, onsite only, with security clearance requirements noted. You will set up precision test equipment for alignment, troubleshoot electronics, and follow procedures to meet tight tolerances.

The role involves repairing and testing units, using SAP and MRO software, and collaborating with engineering and leadership within the MRO. FAA-safety sensitivity applies to this position.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a HS diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
• Must have an electronics background or education with 2+ years complimentary work history in a manufacturing or service environment.
• Electronics maintenance industry experience or education required.
• Must have prior experience troubleshooting electronics equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate precision test equipment for alignment, troubleshooting and testing of electrical equipment and systems.
• Follow written procedures and demonstrate proper use of hand tools and measuring devices.
• Follow blueprints, guidelines, and/or diagrams to ensure product specifications and tolerance levels are met.
• Troubleshooting and testing of repair units.
• Utilizes SAP and other MRO computer programs.
• Conduct written and verbal communication with technicians, engineering, and leadership within the MRO.
