Job summary

Varstaff Staffing is seeking an Avionics / Electro-Mechanical Technician III to provide hands-on support across development, test, and flight environments in the Avionics Hardware Lab in Kent, WA. You will assemble and test flight-grade avionics, battery systems, power distribution, and wire harnesses, using schematics and layouts for fault isolation and basic troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in aerospace avionics or related high-reliability fields (5–7 years preferred).
• Hands-on component-level board work, mechanical assembly, and wire harness fabrication.
• Experience inspecting and certifying work to aerospace specifications and standards.
• Experience in ESD Electrostatic Protected Areas (EPA) and tool control processes.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident or eligible refugee/asylee.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, fabricate, test and repair flight-grade avionics, battery systems and wire harnesses.
• Perform operational testing, fault isolation, and electrical/mechanical assembly from schematics.
• Provide input on design improvements and process optimizations for safe spaceflight.
• Support development, test, and flight environments in the Avionics Hardware Lab.
