Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace in Palm Beach, FL, seeks an avionics/electrical technician to troubleshoot, repair, and test aircraft systems. You will read blueprints, work from engineering drawings, and support flight-test activities as needed.

This role requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work across shifts in a safety-focused environment. Eligible candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, 4 years of avionics experience (or 2 years plus accredited schooling), and an FAA

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Four years avionics/electrical experience or two years accredited schooling + two years related experience.
  • A&P license preferred.
  • FCC and NCATT certifications preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must read, write, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair avionics and electrical systems on aircraft.
  • Install, test, and verify electrical and avionics components following drawings and manuals.
  • Diagnose system issues and perform quality repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Repair and replace wiring, connectors, and electrical components using approved methods.
  • Set up and operate test equipment to evaluate performance.
  • Complete required documentation and prepare work for inspection.
  • Perform engineering changes and aircraft modifications as required.
  • Support aircraft testing activities, including flight test support.
  • Follow safety, tool control, and FOD requirements.
  • Adapt to changing production schedules and shifts.
