Job description

Avionics/Electrical Technician I - Weekend Shift in GAC St. Louis

Unique Skills:

This position is for weekends (4th shift), Friday to Sunday, 0600-1830.

The compensation range for this role is $24.10 - $28.31 per hour. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as qualifications, skills, education, experience, and location.

Education and Experience Requirements: High School Diploma or GED required. 2 years of related work experience or two years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics. Ability to read blueprints and schematic diagrams.Position Purpose: Assists in troubleshooting and repairing system discrepancies to minimize schedule impact. Implements process improvements to reduce costs and meet schedules without compromising safety or quality.Job Description: Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Demonstrates basic technical skills in avionics and aircraft systems testing and troubleshooting.
  2. Performs installation and testing of electrical/avionics components per specifications, ensuring defect-free systems.
  3. Ensures quality and efficiency of installations, troubleshooting to provide timely repairs.
  4. Replaces defective components and wiring, demonstrating effective repair techniques.
  5. Follows engineering changes and modifications as required.
  6. Sets up and operates test equipment; conducts functional tests.
  7. Documents all work performed on the aircraft for inspection.
  8. Tests and maintains test equipment and electronic systems.
  9. Adheres to safety and tool control programs, and all safety regulations.

Additional Functions: May include flight tests during aircraft certification and final phase testing. Performs other duties as assigned.
