Job summary

Insight Global in Huntsville, AL, seeks a hardware-focused avionics support engineer to assist with design, development, integration, and troubleshooting of avionics and electrical systems in a fast-paced R&D environment.

Work closely with engineers to build cables and wire harnesses, perform testing and debugging, and help transition concepts from prototype to production-ready hardware for defense programs. Active security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Active security clearance required.
• Experience supporting electrical or avionics systems in development, test, or engineering environments.
• Ability to build, modify, and troubleshoot cables and wire harnesses.
• Knowledge of electronic theory, electrical components, and circuit fundamentals.
• Experience supporting engineering design, integration, and hardware testing activities.
• Familiarity with avionics integration, test equipment, and prototype hardware development.
• Experience working in or around classified/SCIF environments.

Responsibilities

• Support the design, development, integration, and troubleshooting of avionics and electrical systems.
• Collaborate with engineers to develop electrical designs and build/modify cables and wire harnesses.
• Perform testing and debugging to support transitions from prototype to production-ready hardware.
• Assist hands-on hardware integration and electronic troubleshooting for defense programs.
