Job summary

United Launch Alliance is seeking an Electrical Engineer on the Avionics team to manage current and future hardware designs for Vulcan upgrades. You will contribute to Guidance & Navigation, RF, Power, Instrumentation, and Flight Controls, coordinating with engineering, manufacturing, and launch site teams.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in STEM and a minimum of 2 years of related experience, with strong troubleshooting, communication, and MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) or related technical field from an accredited college or university
  • At least 2 years of experience related to the job
  • Demonstrated experience with engineering tools
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, coordination and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated to manage and close on assignments
  • Communication skills (verbal and written) including requirements documentation and presentations
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project)
  • Available to work launch-related issues outside of business hours and travel if required

Responsibilities

  • Develop and/or manage requirements for avionics components and system integration
  • Support/g lead system integration of new avionics components development
  • Perform system analysis including battery consumption, voltage drop, fusing
  • Coordinate with engineers, manufacturing, subcontractors and launch site to improve designs
  • Address, troubleshoot, and resolve issues during launch site hardware operations
  • Perform software and hardware data reviews
  • Perform hardware design management for current/future hardware across ULA rockets
  • Guidance & Navigation, RF, Electrical Power, Instrumentation, Flight Controls responsibilities
