Job summary

United Launch Alliance (ULA) is seeking a Recurring Avionics Electrical Component Engineer to support and maintain hardware designs for the Vulcan and Atlas vehicles. The role includes becoming the Certified Responsible Engineer (CRE) for flight avionics components and coordinating with suppliers on testing and integration.

The position requires a BS in Electrical Engineering, strong debugging and communication skills, and willingness to travel; relocation to Denver is possible and ITAR

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering field.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, coordination and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated to manage and complete assignments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to succeed in a team environment with stakeholders from different organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Become the Certified Responsible Engineer (CRE) for flight avionics components.
  • Develop and maintain component requirements (functional, physical, environmental test).
  • Collaborate with hardware suppliers for component testing.
  • Address, troubleshoot, and resolve issues or failures with suppliers.
  • Support integration of components onto the vehicle and launch-site testing.
