Job summary

WSU Tech seeks an Adjunct Faculty member in Avionics to teach courses in avionics technology, including electrical systems, communications, navigation, and troubleshooting. You will foster student achievement through theory and hands-on practice, preparing students for industry certifications.

The ideal candidate has at least three years in avionics and strong teaching communication skills, with commitment to safety and up-to-date curriculum content.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Avionics, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field preferred; associate degree with industry experience considered.
  • Current FAA A&P certification and avionics certifications are highly desirable.
  • Minimum three years in avionics maintenance, installation, or design; teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Teach theoretical and practical components of the avionics curriculum.
  • Facilitate hands-on laboratory experiences to complement classroom instruction.
  • Maintain current knowledge in avionics technologies and update curricula.
  • Develop and implement assessment tools to evaluate student progress.
  • Participate in program meetings and contribute to program improvements.
  • Adhere to safety standards and best practices in instruction.
