Job summary

WSU Tech is seeking an Adjunct Faculty member in Avionics to teach courses in aircraft electrical systems, communications, navigation, and troubleshooting. The role focuses on delivering theory and hands-on labs to prepare students for industry certifications in a supportive learning environment.

The candidate should hold a Bachelor's in Avionics or related fields, with strong troubleshooting knowledge and teaching skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Avionics, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Associate degree with significant industry experience may be considered.
  • Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification, as well as relevant avionics certifications, are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Teach theoretical and practical components of the avionics curriculum to prepare students for industry certifications.
  • Facilitate hands-on laboratory experiences that accompany classroom instruction.
  • Maintain current knowledge in avionics technologies and integrate this into course content.
  • Develop and implement assessment tools to evaluate student performance.
  • Participate in program meetings and contribute to program improvement.
  • Adhere to safety standards and best practices in all instructional activities.
