Job summary

White Bear Lake Area Schools, ISD 624 is seeking an AVID Tutor for AVID elective courses serving grades 9–12. The role is part-time, 8.5 hours per week, with potential for additional hours in the tutoring center.

The tutor will provide direct instructional support in tutorial groups under the guidance of an AVID elective teacher, helping students develop college readiness skills and study strategies to prepare for postsecondary success.

Qualifications

• Available Tuesdays and/or Thursdays during the school day.
• Current enrollment in college courses or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, collaborative instructional support to students in AVID tutorial groups.
• Participate in the learning, growth, and personal development of students.
• Act as a role model for students preparing for college.
