Job summary

Welders are responsible for various types of weld preparation, welding, and weld finishing operations to manufacture equipment to customer drawings, specifications, or other forms of instruction by using specific welding technique, and judgment to complete.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Technical / vocational / or military training or related experience.
• Two or more years weld experience with at least one years in a similar environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, fabricate, join, and repair equipment, fixtures and metal objects per drawings and specs.
• Weld using MIG, TIG, inner shield and Flux-cored Arc Welding techniques as required.
• Assist in design and setup of work centers; troubleshoot problems and communicate discrepancies.
• Complete required weld documentation and move weldments to the next process per Oshkosh AeroTech specs.
