Job summary

Menzies Aviation is seeking a Cargo Handling Supervisor to lead non-exempt staff, including Cargo Office and Warehouse Agents, and to supervise staff driving vehicles and operating X-ray units. The position requires at least a one-year certificate or technical schooling, plus related experience.

Qualifications

One year college certificate or technical school required.
Six months related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test and a ten-year background check.
Must be able to lift and move up to 70 pounds.
Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
Able to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.
Aviation industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Direct and coordinate activities of department staff and warehouse agents.
Oversee staffing for warehouse operations and participate in interviews.
Train new warehouse employees and ensure compliance with airline guidelines and regulations.
Monitor safety and perform audits to protect personnel and equipment.
Review reports, resolve issues, and minimize costs while avoiding delays.
Inspect equipment and manage documentation for regulatory compliance.
