COMLUX AMERICA in Indianapolis, IN is seeking an Upholstery Technician Trainee to learn fabrication and installation of aircraft upholstery components for VIP jets.

You will develop skills in sewing, foam prep, material handling, and reading engineering docs while adhering to RSQM quality standards and safety guidelines. This entry-level role offers hands-on training in a hangar environment with room to grow into skilled upholstery work.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of upholstery processes; high school diploma/GED required.
• Ability to read/write/speak English; basic blueprint/engineering doc reading.
• Willingness to learn RSQM procedures and FAA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare upholstered surfaces for foam and covering using hand tools per procedures.
• Learn basic sewing operations on seat covers and curtains using sewing machines and hand tools.
• Interpret material specs and drawings to ensure components meet design specs and quality standards.
• Assist with material handling to support production workflow; request materials as needed.
• Complete regulatory documentation and sign-offs per RSQM and quality standards.
