Job summary

ATP Flight School in Mesa, AZ seeks a Training Support Specialist to enhance the training experience by ensuring students have access to all ATP resources and logistics to complete training on time and on budget.

You will work with students individually and in groups, coordinating schedules, coordinating FAA testing, and liaising with instructors and multiple ATP departments to support student success.

Qualifications

• Customer service oriented work experience required.
• FAA Certification knowledge preferred.
• Some college coursework preferred.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills required.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Works with students in groups and one-on-one, initiating contact and addressing needs.
• Verifies student schedules to promote high student success.
• Coaches students on scheduling/performance issues and intervenes when needed.
• Completes pre-arrival calls, day-one check-ins and weekly orientation meetings.
• Administers FAA Knowledge Tests via CATS.
• Schedules and confirms Knowledge Tests, Evaluations, Solo Flights and checkride milestones.
• Coordinates with DPEs for checkride availability and overall checkride experience.
• Creates contingency plans for weather, maintenance, aircraft and instructor limitations.
• Provides introductions to other ATP departments (Training, Financing, Housing, etc.).
• Updates student tracking system to reflect student progress.
• Conducts ATP Housing bi-weekly inspections.
