IMEG Corp in Fairfax, VA is seeking a Technology Intern for a 10-12 week summer program. You will assist with design, analysis, and oversight of low-voltage technology and ICT systems in buildings, gaining hands-on project experience under mentorship.

This paid internship emphasizes collaboration across disciplines, client documentation, and site observations, with exposure to aviation-focused technology consulting and real-world project work within a 100% employee-owned firm.

Formación

• Completed at least 2 years toward a BS in Electrical, Electronics, Computer or related STEM field.
• Strong interest in building design consulting.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenge.
• Developing proficiency in BIM software.
• Clear oral and written communication.
• MS Office Suite proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Preferred prior internship in building design consulting industry.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with design portions of projects related to discipline systems according to code and IMEG standards.
• Assist with engineering analysis, design, and implementation oversight of low-voltage technology, ICT, systems in buildings.
• Assist with researching resources for commercially available equipment.
• Assist with maintaining client relations, project design notebooks, and documentation for permanent record files.
• Assist with coordinating design and schedule with architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, technology, clerical, and equipment supplier teams.
• Assist with documenting design decisions, meetings, and client instructions while monitoring project design progress.
• Assist with reviewing project documents for accuracy and completeness before final check, and assist with preparation and issuance of addendum information.
• Conduct periodic job site observations and perform other services as required by the contract services agreement.
• Perform other duties assigned by the employer.
