Job summary

West Star Aviation is seeking a Technical Training Instructor to actively develop and deliver technical onboarding and ongoing training in an active hangar environment. You will support both new hires and existing technicians, ensuring readiness and regulatory compliance.

The role emphasizes collaboration with QA, HR, Safety, and program stakeholders, maintaining LMS records and updating materials to reflect changes in FAA or company standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree preferred.
• FAA A&P or equivalent license required.
• 4+ years aviation maintenance or related experience.
• Experience instructing classroom or on-the-job training.
• Experience with LMS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide onboarding and technical training for new hires.
• Deliver classroom and hands-on training to technicians.
• Ensure training content aligns with FAA regulations and manuals.
• Edit and develop training materials with QA, HR, Safety teams.
• Lead train-the-trainer sessions with key stakeholders.
• Oversee the Aviation Maintenance Technician Apprenticeship program.
• Coordinate with FAA and LMS to schedule testing and records.
