Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. in Grand Junction, CO, is seeking a Technical Training Instructor to lead onboarding and ongoing technical training in a hangar/on‑site environment.

You will develop and deliver courses, align content with FAA and company standards, and mentor apprentices within the AMT apprenticeship program. The role requires 4+ years in aviation maintenance training, strong LMS skills, and the ability to collaborate with QA, HR, Safety, and operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; association degree preferred.
• FAA A&P or equivalent license is preferred for regulatory compliance.
• Experience instructing classroom or on‑the‑job training in aviation maintenance.
• Familiarity with LMS and instructional content development.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom onboarding and technical training for new technicians.
• Deliver instruction for regulatory needs and refresher courses.
• Ensure training materials meet manuals and FAA requirements.
• Update and edit content with QA, HR, Safety, and stakeholders.
• Lead train‑the‑trainer sessions and mentor apprentices.
• Coordinate with L&D organizers on schedules and LMS updates.
• Support ongoing onboarding and regulatory initiatives.
