Job summary

Gulfstream in Savannah, GA seeks a Technical Operations Systems Specialist II for the 2nd shift on the GAC Savannah site. The role leads technical support for Gulfstream aircraft systems, coordinates emergency responses, and ensures Return To Service for in‑service aircraft.

Required: Bachelor's degree in aviation maintenance or related field, 5 years of aircraft maintenance/ops experience, and an A&P license preferred. Relocation benefits and travel apply as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in aviation maintenance, engineering technology, or related curriculum required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5 years aircraft related maintenance and operations experience is required.
• An A&P license, EASA B1/B2 FlightSafety Master Technician and four (4) additional years related aircraft experience may offset the degree.

Responsibilities

• Responds to in-flight emergency calls from operators by coordinating resources and providing technical data and guidance during the event.
• Interprets general operational/maintenance requirements and provides technical consultation to customers, Service Center, Product Support, FSR, COR, Engineering and other internal departments.
• Conducts in-depth system review to develop troubleshooting plans specific to operator/aircraft needs.
• Directs and guides customers and reps on plan implementation and Return To Service (RTS).
• Directs the exchange of technical data to provide repair drawings for damaged in-service aircraft.
• Review, investigate, and respond to correspondence from Gulfstream operators and other agencies.
• Coordinate transfer of aircraft components for analysis and provide action plans based on results to improve Gulfstream fleet.
• Develop and update troubleshooting procedures and processes for Gulfstream aircraft.
• Coordinate development and evaluation of test equipment for use on Gulfstream aircraft.
• Determine priorities for handling situations submitted to Technical Operations based on safety, urgency, and policy.
• Initiate and prepare customer bulletins, PCRs, service news items, letters, RQAAT presentations, and other formal documentation.
• Use Lean methodology to identify and implement improvements to internal processes.
• Reinforce customer satisfaction, identify areas of customer frustration, and resolve issues.
