The Weather Company is seeking a seasoned Full Stack Software Engineer to join our aviation engineering team. You will develop data-driven visualizations and robust APIs using React, Go, Node.js, MongoDB, and SQL Server, across AWS services, with on-call rotation after ramp-up.

You will work in a hybrid setting (3 days in the office) and contribute to high-impact aviation solutions for dispatchers and pilots worldwide, emphasizing performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• 1-5 years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in React or a modern frontend framework and building complex data-driven UIs.
• Backend development experience with Go, Node.js, or .NET/C#.
• Working knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases (SQL Server and MongoDB).
• Strong understanding of REST API design and HTTP fundamentals.
• Experience with AI coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude) in development workflows.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain full stack features across frontend and backend systems.
• Create high-performance visualizations for aviation professionals.
• Design and extend RESTful APIs to serve real-time weather and flight data at scale.
• Develop responsive frontend interfaces in React for aviation operations contexts.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers in an agile delivery environment.
• Participate in code reviews and on-call rotations to ensure reliability.
