Job summary

Bastion Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Systems Safety Engineer (Aviation) to support DoD activities at Redstone Arsenal, AL. You will lead safety program guidance and advise on safety engineering across the acquisition life cycle.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of experience and a Secret clearance (or ability to obtain one). Expect onsite work with occasional travel and strict need for US citizenship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of work experience.
• Secret clearance or ability to obtain one; US citizen.
• Experience with system safety analyses, studies, and design evaluation of systems, subsystems, and equipment.
• Ability to review airworthiness documentation, manuals, and test reports to ensure safety information is accurate and complete.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall guidance to PMs to accomplish safety program objectives.
• Furnish technical advice on system safety engineering across acquisition life cycle, including software safety.
• Assist with planning, implementing, and revising safety directives, policies, procedures, and training for aviation system safety.
