Signalink, Inc. in Huntsville, Alabama is seeking a detail-oriented Systems Engineer to join our defense-focused team. The role supports avionics and aircraft system development and requires collaboration with government and industry partners.

The candidate will apply systems engineering principles, manage requirements, and perform analyses and verifications throughout the lifecycle, with a focus on airworthiness and safety. Remote travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Systems Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 3–7 years of systems engineering experience in avionics/aerospace or military aviation.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and complex documentation.
• Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain clearance.
• Willing to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Apply systems engineering across the lifecycle of avionics and aircraft systems.
• Define and allocate system requirements ensuring traceability.
• Perform analyses, verification, validation, and reporting.
• Support MBSE and digital engineering practices.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, software, safety and other disciplines to resolve complex issues.
• Prepare technical findings and program deliverables for internal and external customers.
