Job summary

Real Time Consulting seeks a Systems Engineer - Aircraft Surveillance Systems in Phoenix, AZ to verify aircraft surveillance systems per ARP-4754A and DO-178B for TCAS, TAWS, ADS-B and transponder systems.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or CS and 3+ years in safety-critical embedded avionics, plus experience with DOORS, ClearCase, ClearQuest, and Python-based testing. On-site collaboration with RTCo team ensures safe, reliable aviation solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer/Aerospace Engineering or Computer Science (required).
• 3+ years of system development of safety-critical embedded avionics systems.
• Experience developing system test procedures, test cases and test scripts.
• Familiar with ARP-4754A aircraft systems lifecycle.
• Familiar with DOORS for requirements capture and tracing.
• Familiar with ClearCase for version control and configuration management.
• Familiar with ClearQuest for change requests tracking.
• Familiar with MATLAB/Simulink for simulations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork.
• Accountable, takes ownership of tasks and shows initiative.
• Knowledge of TCAS/TAWS/ADS-B is a plus.
