Job summary

AAR is seeking an Aviation Supply Chain Analyst to optimize procurement, inventory, and logistics through data-driven decision-making. The role emphasizes SQL, Python, and Power BI to build real-time dashboards and support cost savings initiatives in the aerospace sector.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree and 2+ years in supply chain analytics, with familiarity in aviation maintenance systems and ERP platforms such as SAP or Oracle. Hybrid work in Illinois is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, data analytics, engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in supply chain analytics, preferably in aviation or aerospace.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python for data manipulation and analysis.
• Experience with Power BI or similar BI tools (Tableau, Qlik).
• Strong understanding of supply chain, procurement, logistics, and inventory management.
• Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with aviation maintenance systems (AMOS, TRAX, or similar).
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Knowledge of statistical modeling or machine learning is a plus.
• ITAR compliance: US Person required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost savings and performance improvement.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI to support real-time decision-making.
• Write complex SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and validate data from multiple sources.
• Use Python for data transformation, automation, and advanced analytics (e.g., forecasting, anomaly detection).
• Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and maintenance teams to ensure timely availability of aviation parts and materials.
• Monitor supplier performance and inventory levels to support just-in-time delivery and minimize downtime.
• Support strategic sourcing initiatives by providing data insights and scenario modeling.
• Assist in the implementation of supply chain systems and process improvements.
