Job summary

Airbus Americas in Mobile, Alabama is seeking a Quality Inspector Structures to support the A220 and A320 production lines. The role emphasizes cabin and structures inspections and requires hands-on verification of conformity in SAP-based workflows.

You will document inspections, participate in quality surveys, and collaborate with manufacturing engineers to maintain high standards. FAA A&P license preferred; on-site work with safety compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• FAA Airframe & Powerplant License including inspection authorization is preferred.
• 3 years of experience as a Quality Inspector in an aviation company with an emphasis on cabin/structures components and assemblies.
• Previous experience as an avionics technician is highly desirable.
• Airline experience is also desirable.

Responsibilities

• Execute technical inspections in the production process of the aircraft in the context of the authorization of manufacturer operation.
• Prepare and perform visual, incoming, first article, final inspections during aircraft manufacture for compliance with design specifications, customers and certification requirements.
• Document the technical inspections performed in the production orders SAP-based and the relevant SAL-based IT systems by inspection marks and complete other aircraft documents as well as prepare first article inspection reports.
• Support troubleshooting and participate in Quality Survey requests.
• Compile all technical data of non-conformance in order to launch the SAP-based quality discrepancy sheets for the professional assessment in accordance with the manufacturing engineering documentation.
• Document all the results of the technical inspector in the SAP based IT system.
