Job summary

PKL Services Inc. is contracted to maintain and operate RSAF and USAF aircraft at Mountain Home AFB, Idaho.

The Structural Repair Technician will perform aviation structural repair, corrosion control, and composite repair on Wing assigned aircraft, following AFIs and approved manuals. The role requires 6+ years as a certified Aircraft Structural maintenance technician (7-level) and the ability to pass medical screening and secure a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of six (6) years' experience as a qualified/certified 7-level Aircraft Structural maintenance technician or equivalent.
• Must be able to pass a medical screening and respirator qualification without limitations.
• Must be able to obtain and retain a Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform aviation structural repair, corrosion control, and composite repair on Wing assigned aircraft in accordance with AFIs and USAF-like directives.
• Prepare, sand, bead strip, paint, and stencil components per approved manuals and directives.
• Assess repairability per aircraft or equipment technical orders and determine required actions.
• Research materials and equipment needs and provide to requester for ordering.
• Carry out repairs and coatings to ensure full mission capability of aircraft/equipment.
• Assist in drafting suggested repair actions as part of ETAR requests.
• Follow engineering instructions for repairs not addressed by a specific Technical Order.
• Provide guidance and training to RSAF and USAF personnel as opportunities arise.
• Any other duties as directed by the Program Manager/Site Manager.
