West Star Aviation, LLC in East Alton, IL seeks a Sheet Metal Technician to support turbine aircraft structures, read blueprints, and work from drawings to ensure precision and safety.

You will perform drilling, riveting, cutting, sealing, and finishing on airframe components, maintain tools and shop facilities, and use basic computer systems for training and maintenance data. Strong communication in English is required for team collaboration.

Qualificações

• Basic to advanced knowledge of turbine aircraft structures.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow drawings.
• Experience with fastening systems and aircraft structural procedures.

Responsabilidades

• Perform basic sheet metal operations such as drilling, riveting, and cutting on airframe and related components.
• Apply and remove sealant, sound deadening, and finishing materials.
• Maintain, clean and repair shop facilities, equipment and tooling as needed.
• Utilize basic computer skills to access electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases.
• Communicate clearly in English and perform other duties as assigned.

What you can expect as a Sheet Metal Technician at West Star:

• As Sheet Metal Technician, each day will bring new experiences and opportunities for growth. You will need to have a basic to advanced knowledge of turbine aircraft structures, reading blueprints, working from drawings, fastening systems, procedures and techniques. You many also be required to help supervise crews and assist in organizing manpower and setting priorities for involved projects.

You Will Be ESSENTIAL To Many FUNCTIONS Including

• Perform basic sheet metal operations such as drilling, riveting, cutting on airframe and associated components.
• Application and removal of sealant, sound deadening and finish materials.
• Maintenance, cleaning and repair of shop facility, equipment and tooling when required.
• Basic computer skills to be able to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance data bases
• Effectively and clearly communicate (i.e., speak, write, read) in English
• Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
