Job summary

Aerotek is hiring a Mechanical Repair Technician to inspect, repair, and maintain air cargo containers, pallets, and cargo nets used throughout the aviation industry. This hands-on role favors candidates with experience using hand and power tools, sheet metal work, fabrication, and maintenance in a fast-paced shop environment.

Based in Miami, FL, the position offers a Monday–Friday schedule with on-site work in an open, non-climate-controlled facility.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of mechanical, assembly, maintenance, fabrication, or repair experience.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Ability to read a tape measure and interpret measurements.
• Comfortable using a tablet or computer for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Inspect air cargo containers, pallets, and nets for damage.
• Perform repairs using hand tools, power tools, drills, and rivet guns.
• Complete sheet metal repairs and component replacements.
• Document repairs and inspections using a tablet or computer.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all company and aviation safety procedures.
• Assist with general facility upkeep as needed.
