Job summary

Daher Aerospace in Florida is seeking a Sheet Metal Mechanic Trainee – Level 2 Experience. You will complete a comprehensive 6-week training program with classroom instruction, hands-on practice, and mentorship, then transition to full-time production work starting January 2027.

You'll learn to install, modify, and maintain aircraft sheet metal components, read engineering drawings, perform inspections, and document work.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years aviation sheet metal or structural mechanic experience.
• Ability to demonstrate competency in sheet metal techniques and structural repairs.
• Pass skills assessments which may include hands-on plate testing.
• FAA approved aviation maintenance training programs may be included in coursework.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Fluent in English with strong reading/writing skills.
• Willing to work 1st and/or 2nd shift; overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Install, modify, and maintain aircraft sheet metal components.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and production specifications.
• Perform inspections and document workmanship accurately.
• Support transitions from trainee to full-time production role.
