Job summary

Dassault Falcon Jet in United States, Arkansas, seeks an experienced Sheet Metal Technician to perform sheet metal operations and install interior shell panels for aircraft interiors. You will read blueprints, CATIA models, and verbal instructions, performing precise calculations and adjusting assemblies as needed.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in aircraft manufacturing with sheet metal training or 3+ years general experience; must lift 50 lbs and work safely at heights.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years of aircraft manufacturing experience with sheet metal courses or three years of general aircraft manufacturing to substitute.
• Able to work from drawings, sketches, pictures, or verbal specifications.
• Must use calibrated tools, measuring devices, and set up and operate standard shop equipment.
• Able to drill per defined tolerances.
• Able to enter/exit aircraft work stands safely and climb steps up to 25 feet.
• Able to lift and carry 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform sheet metal operations and install interior shell panels.
• Work from blueprints, sketches, diagrams, CATIA models, or verbal instructions.
• Take measurements, calculate angles, circumference, and bend allowances.
• Modify completed assemblies and sub-assemblies as needed.
• Check fabricated items and checkouts of installed systems.
• Use aircraft tooling for precision sheet metal work and installations.
• Set up and operate standard shop equipment; ensure safe work practices.
• Document work in logs and computerized systems; complete jobs on time.
