Job summary

Daher is seeking a dedicated aviation sheet metal/structural mechanic trainee in Texas. You will participate in a comprehensive 6-week program that blends classroom learning, hands-on practice, and direct mentorship, with a path to full-time production upon successful completion.

The role emphasizes learning to install, modify, and maintain aircraft sheet metal components, read engineering drawings, and document inspections while growing within a market-leading aerospace company.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of aviation sheet metal or structural mechanic experience.
• Proven competency in structural repairs and sheet metal techniques.
• Pass skills assessments which may include hands on plate testing.
• Experience from FAA approved aviation maintenance training programs.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Fluent in English — read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Able to work 1st and/or 2nd shift after training.
• Willing to work overtime as needed, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Install, modify, and maintain aircraft sheet metal and composite components.
• Fabricate, assemble, and rework structural parts.
• Use precision measuring tools to ensure quality standards.
• Perform inspections and maintain accurate documentation.
• Read and work from engineering drawings and production specifications.
