Job summary

MedAire is seeking an Editor (AVSEC Focus) to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and editorial integrity of aviation security content across MedAire and International SOS. You will govern AVSEC alerting, align with thresholds, and maintain high-quality outputs for operational and client use.

The role collaborates with International SOS analysts, editors, and regional security teams, leveraging MedAire’s CMS (Umbraco).

Qualifications

• High proficiency in copy-editing and proofreading for time-sensitive security content.
• Strong understanding of aviation security concepts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical judgement.
• Experience with content management systems and structured reporting formats.

Responsibilities

• Edit and publish aviation security alerts, advisories, and assessments in line with AVSEC thresholds and editorial standards.
• Apply the AVSEC Alert Quick Reference Guide to ensure correct alert staging, formatting, and lifecycle continuity.
• Act as a quality gatekeeper for AVSEC content, preventing duplication or misclassification.
• Draft and edit short advisories for breaking aviation security events and ensure timely delivery to clients.
• Ensure consistency of aviation security outputs across service lines and alignment with MedAire standards.
• Collaborate with global editorial, aviation, and regional security teams for alignment and consistency.
• Provide editorial feedback and support to Security Specialists and analysts.
• Support training and development of team members to improve content quality and reporting standards.
• Respond to client queries related to aviation security content with clarity and professionalism.
