Job summary

The University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) in Maryland is looking for a full-time non-tenure track faculty member in the Aviation Sciences Department, starting January 2026. This position involves teaching up to twelve semester credit hours of aviation courses and conducting research.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Aeronautical Sciences or a related field.
• More than 10 years of aviation professional experience within the last 15 years may qualify in lieu of a Master’s degree.
• Experience in flight training and/or pilot ground instruction required.

Responsibilities

• Teach up to twelve semester credit hours of aviation sciences coursework each semester.
• Assist in achieving and maintaining AABI accreditation.
• Conduct research and publish findings in refereed journals.
