Job summary

Vse Aviation Inc (US) seeks a Safety Wire Technician III to serve as a technical resource for the production team. You will install safety wire and safety cable on aviation components, review documentation, and ensure compliance with manuals and directives.

Responsibilities include training new hires, maintaining accurate maintenance records, and supporting process improvements while prioritizing quality and safety in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

Associate’s degree or 2 years of relevant/technical work experience in lieu of degree.
2 years of relevant/technical work experience.
Proficiency installing aviation safety wire and safety cable using industry methods.
Ability to read, interpret, and follow Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM), drawings, and work instructions.
Use of hand and precision tools with proper PPE.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Mentor and train less experienced technicians.
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Dependable, accountable, able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced production environment while ensuring quality and compliance.

Responsibilities

Preserve all general and commercial aviation components per CM manuals.
Install safety wire and seals after final function test.
Install safety cable on components after final function test.
Review documentation for accuracy before transfer to next stage.
Install shipping caps and plugs onto components.
Communicate priority challenges to the Production Coordinator.
Document maintenance records of all work performed.
Provide safety wire training for new hires and test technicians.
Utilize fuel control preservation stand.
Conduct final visual inspections for safety wire/cable, hardware, and locking methods.
Perform cable gun torque verification and document inspections.
Assist with process improvement planning.
Support production planning and process review as time allows.
Monitor chemical waste levels and proper disposal.
Monitor inventory of caps, plugs, preservation materials and supplies.
Other duties as assigned.
