Job summary

Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) is seeking a Manager of Safety and Training to lead comprehensive safety, security, and training programs across warehouse and ramp operations at our Windsor Locks site. You will ensure compliance with corporate policies, air carrier requirements, customer expectations, and regulatory mandates while maintaining efficiency and security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
• Supports 24/7 operations and may respond to safety events outside normal hours.
• 5 years of experience in aviation and warehouse operations.
• 5 years of ramp safety experience.
• 3 years of experience in disability management or workers’ compensation.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations, ADA, and ergonomics.
• Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive information.
• Strategic thinker with a proactive, hands-on approach.
• Data-driven with SMS experience.
• Crisis management and emergency response planning expertise.

Responsibilities

• Champion a culture of safety excellence through training and engagement.
• Ensure safety protocols align with corporate, airline, customer, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead investigations for safety incidents and implement corrective measures.
• Provide guidance to station managers on safety best practices.
• Oversee the training schedule and coordinate new hire and recurrent training.
• Manage training resources and instructional personnel.
• Monitor injury follow-ups, coordinate medical updates, and return-to-work processes.
• Conduct security audits and investigate loss events and policy breaches.
• Hold monthly safety meetings and drive injury prevention initiatives.
• Influence behavior to foster a safety-first mindset across the division.
