Job summary

McGee Air Services is seeking a Manager, Safety to lead safety oversight across all station operations and guide safety leadership of Duty Managers, Safety Specialists, and GSE Specialists.

The role focuses on identifying trends, implementing corrective actions, and ensuring operational safety compliance through training and comprehensive equipment management, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aviation management, business administration, or a closely related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the aviation or airline industry, specifically in ground handling or airport operations, required.
• At least 3 years of experience managing projects with a focus on operational improvements or safety initiatives, preferred.
• Advanced understanding of Safety Management Systems (SMS) and comprehensive airline security compliance, including TSA and FAA requirements, is required.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations, TSA protocols, and FAA requirements related to customer service and ground handling operations is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Duty Managers, Safety Specialists, and GSE Specialists to ensure comprehensive safety oversight across all operational areas.
• Train and mentor safety specialists to perform safety management, including inspections, compliance audits, and incident investigations.
• Drive team performance with regular feedback, coaching, and evaluations.
• Ensure station compliance with OSHA, FAA, TSA regulations and safety requirements.
• Develop and implement processes to maintain adherence to safety standards and regulatory requirements.
