Job summary

MWAA is seeking an Airport Engineering Safety Program Manager at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport in Arlington, VA. You will develop and oversee the Engineering and Construction Safety Program, ensuring compliance with environmental, workplace, public safety, and accessibility requirements across airport projects.

You will provide technical guidance, conduct inspections, and coordinate with architects and engineers to integrate safety best practices.

Qualifications

• Six years of experience working for a general contractor on large construction projects.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations and industry standards for MOT (maintenance of traffic).
• Knowledge of safety engineering concepts and safety management; ability to develop safety policies for large projects.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical guidance and training as a principal safety advisor.
• Researches, interprets, and enforces safety regulations and fire protection standards.
• Reviews safety policies and procedures and design plans for construction projects.
• Conducts inspections of facilities and construction sites for regulatory conformance.
• Gathers data, performs risk analysis, and reports findings with mitigation recommendations.
