Job summary

City of Dallas is seeking a Supervisor - Aviation Safety Compliance to lead the Safety Division’s efforts, ensuring compliance with federal and local regulations for the Dallas Airport System.

The role directs technical and administrative safety activities, trains personnel, and coordinates with airport management, labor, and regulatory bodies to maintain a high standard of aviation safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field.
• Five (5) years of experience in Safety or Airport/Airfield Operations/Management.
• Two (2) years in lead/supervisory capacity.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and coordinates safety programs for aviation operations.
• Trains staff and ensures compliance with federal and local regulations.
• Evaluates data, prepares reports, and coordinates with agencies.
• Maintains current knowledge of safety guidelines and regulatory changes.
• Supervises safety staff and conducts employee reviews.
• Leads meetings and coordinates safety initiatives across divisions.
• Oversees safety-related corrective actions and reporting processes.
• Ensures on-call coverage and incident response readiness.
