Job summary

The City of Dallas Aviation Department seeks an Airside Operations Manager to lead the Airside Operations division at the airport, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient service. This role requires guiding staff and budgeting while coordinating with FAA and TSA regulators to maintain high safety standards.

You will set goals, supervise personnel, coordinate with FAA and TSA regulators, and manage budgets, schedules, and security projects to support city aviation needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Airport Management, Public Administration, Aviation or Business field.
• Four (4) years of experience in airport operations and/or airport administration.
• Two (2) years supervisory and/or management responsibilities.
• Equivalencies allowed per listed options.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Airside operations activities and staff, delegating tasks and ensuring policy adherence.
• Set short-, mid-, and long-term goals; contribute to hiring and payroll oversight.
• Update Airport Certification Manual and related plans (AEP, WHMP, SICP).
• Analyze productivity, manage budgets, and supervise special projects and directives.
• Conduct daily operational inspections and address issues with staff and concessions.
• Deliver quality customer service; handle security and access requests timely.
• Represent the program area at meetings and hearings; stay current on regulations.
• Coordinate weekly construction meetings with FAA tower, maintenance, and contractors.
• Support FAA Safety Certification inspections with required documents.
• Perform other duties as needed.
